Note: Your lab environment and applications are customized for your course. This feature may not be available in all lab environments.
Step 1: In your UMGC Classroom, please locate the Virtual Lab Access under the table of contents and launch the Virtual Lab Access link. This will display the Lab Broker UI and control panel.
Step 2: If you have not previously done so, please allocate your lab environment. If you have already allocated your lab environment, then click “Start Nodes” to start your lab environment. Once your lab environment has been started, click the connect button to make a connection to your lab machine.
Step 3: Once connected to your virtual lab you can click the command keys listed below to open the Virtual Lab Machines command menu.
• Windows: CTRL+ALT+SHIFT
• Chromebook: CTRL+ALT+SHIFT
• MAC: CTRL+COMMAND+SHIFT
Step 4: Then select the Share drop-down option at the top of the command menu. Select “Shared Link” as shown above and this will provide a 1-time encrypted link that you can share with UMGC Support/Faculty so that they can connect to your virtual lab machine.
Note: Please note that both yourself and your support staff will be controlling the virtual lab machine at the same time, once they have accessed the link.
Step 5: Once completed with the support session, press the same commands to exit the virtual lab machine command menu:

• Chromebook: CTRL+ALT+SHIFT
• MAC: CTRL+COMMAND+SHIFT
